Daisy - "I really enjoyed learning new ways to support my mental health and wellbeing. I particularly enjoyed the way the facilitators made the environment so welcoming, free of judgement and fun!"

"I really like Leonie’s style as a facilitator, I was never bored when she was at the front, due to her preparation, pacing, changing things up, and gentle way of speaking. It’s the support, listening, positivity and connection that is the biggest draw of Happiness Habits workshops"

Annonymous -

I attended Happiness Habits Women Empowering Women at Wyong TAFE 2019.

I’ve always considered myself a bit of a misfit, never really fitting any group as my authentic self. I don’t think I have ever entered a room full of unknown women before and felt so immediately welcomed, accepted and at ease. I certainly had never felt so eager to participate in group activities and discussions before. WEW made it not only easy to do those things but also enjoyable.  WEW made me feel like I could put my whole self into the room and be welcomed being simply me.

The feeling of unconditional support and acceptance surprised, comforted me and lifted me.   The diversity in the room was obvious by appearance but what was not as obvious was the common experiences and adversities we had shared and overcome as women that forever connected us regardless of age, ability, culture, appearance, life script, ethnicity or beliefs.

Over the weeks of the course as we discovered more about each other it became apparent I was surrounded by phenomenal women with extraordinary minds and talents beyond measure and hearts that just keep giving.

I had embarked on a lot of self-development work in the past and was proud of my progress yet still felt an uncomfortable lack of direction in life. I was lacking self-reliance financially and autonomy.  I was starting to see more obstacles in life than opportunities and it was weighing heavy on my heart and mind.

On my first day at WEW I wasn’t sure why I was there or what I was looking for I just remember seeing resilience and self-esteem building on the flyer and felt like they were areas I wanted further growth in and the course was accessible so there was nothing to lose and anything to gain.   By the end of that first day, I knew I would love the course and the people in it.

The course content provoked a lot of conversation and room for sharing and gaining insight into other perspectives on subjects close to people’s heart. I could hear the passion in the voices and see the light in the eyes of the women when they spoke about topics that touched their lives.  I could see they each had a purpose and goals and the strengths and integrity to achieve them, and by the end of the course, I could see I did too.
